General Info: Weekly exercise sessions are available and generally include several w/t/c transitions, leg yielding, turns on fore and off, circles and diagonals, as well as collection/extension to keep your horse supple and focused on each new task. All mounted services include a "quick groom" (light brushing and hoof picking) before AND after the ride. If you horse is excessively dirty (ie, covered in mud), there will be a $5 fee for grooming services. Kim takes warm-up and cool-down into consideration and always put the needs of the horse first. She fully embraces the saying "always end on a good note," whether that means walking calmly around the arena or completing a flying lead change. In addition, every horse gets a treat at the end of every session!

  • Barn Buddies Discount: When working multiple horses in a single facility, everyone automatically gets 10% off!
  • Add a 10 minute lunge before any mounted exercise session for only $5! 
  • More than one training session per week will be 50% off prices above (ex: I would like my horse ridden on the flat four times a week for 30 minutes per session = $20 + $10 + $10 + $10 = $50/week ($30 savings!)). 
  • Schedule a month of sessions and receive 20% off your total (using the above ex: $50/week x 4 weeks = $200/month (-20% off!) = $160/month ($70 savings!)).

About the rider: Kim has had experience riding several different breeds aiming for connection and response between horse and rider with both English and Western techniques. She has experience with active Thoroughbred racehorses and with immovable ponies, rearing and bucking, with several different challenges in between! For jumping training, she embraces cavalettis and gymnastics to start the green horse and to address most jumping issues. Western and English flat work includes pole work to strengthen collected and extended gaits with frequent turns on the fore and off to maintain elasticity and communication at all times. She uses free lunging to promote bonding and to evaluate new equines. Her light, firm aids, consistency, and divine patience are key to training and maintaining control. For special riding requests, use the contact form to send an email for special pricing.

Grooming Rates

Light grooming: $10
      Includes: general brushing and clipping of bridle path, muzzle, ears, and fetlocks if requested.

Heavy grooming: $20
      Includes: heavy duty brushing, untangling manes and tails, bathing and clipping of bridle path, muzzle, ears 
      fetlocks, and body areas if requested.

Clipping only: $5
      Includes: clipping of bridle path, muzzle, ears, fetlocks. Extra areas are an additional fee.

Sheath cleaning: $15, if other grooming service requested only $10.
